How do I add pictures to my FamilyTogether website?
- Login to FamilyTogether
- If you are not already on your 'My Famlies' page, click the link at the top of the page to get there.
- Click the 'Photos' tab
- Use the 'Edit Chapter' link to select the chapter you want to work with.
If you don't have any albums, create one first using the 'Add Album' link
- Click the 'Edit Photos' link next to the name of the chapter.
If there aren't any chapters in your album you can add one by using the 'Add Chapter' link.
- The 'Add Photo' link is in the upper right corner. Click it and then the 'Browse' button to select the jpeg you want to add to your site.
- The title and description are optional; click the 'Upload File' button when you are ready to add the photo.
How do I make photos private so family can see them, but the public can't? Privacy of photos is handled on a chapter basis. An entire chapter of photos is either public or private. To make a chapter private, follow these steps:
- Login and go the the photos management page.

Cclick 'Edit Chapters' for the album you want to work with.

Click 'Edit Chapter' for the chapter you want to make private. The column heading is Rename/Reorder/Privacy.

Check the box to make that chapter private.

Click the 'Save' button save this change.
How do I add birthdays and events to my FamilyTogether calendar?
- Login to FamilyTogether
- If you are not already on your 'My Famlies' page, click the link at the top of the page to get there.
- Click the 'Calendar' tab
- Use the arrows at the top right of the calendar to change to the month and year you want.
- Click the (number of the )day you want to add the even to.
- Fill out the calendar form with your title, event type and other details
- Sharing: Choose what families you want to share your event with (it will appear on their calendar too). If you don't share the event, you will be the only one who sees it.
- Click 'Save Event'
Why can't I purchase a FamilyTogether package or upgrade my free site to another package? FamilyTogether isn't setup to bill online. We accept payment through PayPal. Please email us if you'd like to upgrade your account.
Do I need to have my own domain to use a FamilyTogether website? You do not need to have your own domain. Your site can be accessed at www.familytogether.com/YourLastName/NameYouPick If you would like to use your own domain there is a package that will allow you to do that.
Why do I have to login to FamilyTogether and login again when I access private pages on my site that uses my own domain name? You are required to login twice because your site and FamilyTogether are on different domains. The session uses a cookie to keep track of your session id. For security reasons, browsers don't let FamilyTogether read a cookie set on your site, and your site can't read the cookie made by FamilyTogether.
